Fallout 4 developers often make players happy by releasing new additions (DLC) to the game. Usually all the add-ons for Fallout 4 are divided into two types, either new content for building and crafting or interesting new stories, in the center of which gets your main character. In this article we will briefly look at all the DLC for Fallout 4.
Far Harbor — Best DLC in my opinion
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — 5/5
The largest, best in my opinion, third add-on, which was released in May 2016 and unspeakably pleased all fans of the storylines of the game. The fact that this DLC was very large, it added to the game:
- A new storyline of 8 main quests and 30 side quests;
- A new huge island, which has 58 different locations where all the action takes place;
- More than 30 new characters;
- New weapons, armor, and clothing (over 50);
- New enemies.
The Fallout 4 Far Harbor add-on adds a large island to the game, on which all events unfold. The island has a village called Far Harbor, a fanatic sect base called Children of the Atom, and a Sint settlement called Acadia. Initially, the protagonist comes to the island to find the girl Kasumi, who for some reason considered herself a Sint and ran away to Acadia, but eventually the protagonist finds himself caught up in the conflict between these three factions. How to resolve this conflict is up to you. You can solve the conflict amicably, without losses, or you can destroy one of the conflicting parties, you can destroy the two conflicting parties, or you can leave behind only smoking ruins on the island.
DLC Fallout 4 — Nuka-World
⭐⭐⭐⭐ — 4/5
Another global add-on, similar in scope to Far Harbor, which allows the main character to lead a large gang of raiders and take over the Commonwealth. This DLC adds to the game:
- A new storyline consisting of 11 main quests and 19 side quests;
- A new territory called Nuclear World, consisting of over 50 locations;
- As well as a huge number of new characters, weapons, clothing, costumes, armor, ammunition, new enemies and much more.
In the “Nuclear World” you’ll find 3 gangs of raiders who are constantly fighting among themselves. You have to lead one of them in order to unite them together and win the Commonwealth!
Wasteland Workshop — The DLC for builders
⭐⭐⭐⭐ — 4/5
Wasteland Workshop does not add new quests and storylines to the game. This DLC adds new buildings, materials, interior elements, a variety of devices, the ability to build an arena and conduct battles on it.
- It is possible to construct buildings from concrete;
- A lot of items that use electricity are added, such as an atomic generator;
- Now the player can place a neon sign on any building. PC players are very happy about this);
- It is now possible to catch mutants and raiders;
- Arena for battles in the settlements is added.
DLC Fallout 4 — Vault-Tec Workshop
⭐⭐⭐⭐ — 4/5
This add-on is designed for building fans. This DLC allows you to equip your personal Sanctuary, be an Overseer there, populate it with people and of course conduct experiments there.
Once you get to your personal shelter number 88, you will be pleasantly surprised by its size. It is huge, most of the territory is covered with different garbage: wagons, vans, crates, loaders and even tractors. It all needs to be dismantled and cleaned up because it’s your shelter now. You also need to destroy all the mutants that roam on your property. By the way they are all legendary level. After that put the workshop and tune the radio, otherwise how will the residents of the Commonwealth discover the new shelter.
DLC Fallout 4 — Automatron
⭐⭐⭐⭐ — 4/5
This DLC for Fallout 4 is the first in a row and was introduced by the developers in March 2016. DLC Automatron adds a new storyline to the game, which consists of 4 story quests and 2 side quests. The essence of the storyline is that there is a new villain in the Commonwealth, who calls himself the Mechanist. He has an army of different robots, which are aggressive to all living things. The protagonist has to find out who this mysterious mechanist is and deal with him at any cost, to stop the mayhem going on.
DLC Fallout 4 — Contraptions Workshop
⭐⭐⭐ — 3/5
In this DLC for Fallout 4, fans of construction will be delighted to see plenty of items to thoroughly decorate their settlement. With these items the houses in the settlements will stop looking like a chaotic heap of everything you can gather in the wasteland. The fact that with this add-on you can build statues in the settlements, hang different pictures, posters or regular signs on the walls inside the houses adds a pretty unique experience to the game. Also, you can decorate your home with the flag of the faction you are a member of.
Now you can build an elevator and no more winding kilometers up the stairs. So your settlement will not only become beautiful, but also comfortable.
High Resolution Texture Pack — Free DLC
⭐⭐⭐ — 3/5
High Resolution Texture Pack is a new free DLC for Fallout 4 that you can download on Steam. This pack adds high resolution textures to the game. Judging by the official system requirements to experience the improved graphics you’ll need another 57 Gb of free disk space and a GTX 1080 graphics card to pull it off. But what does the “improved graphics” mean? Let’s see a video, which shows a comparison of “Ultra” settings of the game and with these textures High Resolution Texture Pack in 4K quality. Watch and enjoy supposedly high quality textures.
