Metro 2033 – a computer game in the genre of a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter with elements of survival horror and stealth, developed by Ukrainian studio 4A Games and published by American company THQ in March 2010. The game is an interpretation of the novel of the same name by Russian writer Dmitry Glukhovsky. According to the plot of the game, there was a nuclear war, and the survivors settled in the tunnels and stations of the Moscow subway. The main character is young survivor Artyom, forced to save his hometown station from the various dangers lurking in the subway.

Prey is a sci-fi computer game in the first-person shooter and immersive sim genre for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. The game was released on May 5, 2017. Prey is ideologically related to the 2006 game of the same name, but is not its direct sequel and has no connection with the canceled 2014 game Prey 2.

The Arkane version of Prey got some RPG elements: the player can choose the gender of the protagonist, and decisions affect the game’s plot. To survive and defeat the aliens, the player can learn alien abilities (e.g., masquerading as an environment) and search for resources and weapons. According to creative director Rafael Colantonio, the station is made holistically instead of broken down into separate levels and tasks, sometimes requiring returning to previously explored areas. The player can also go into space in a zero-gravity environment to access restricted parts of the station. The game has several endings, depending on the player’s interaction with survivors, abilities, and the station.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Sweden’s MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2014 on Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Part of the Wolfenstein series of computer games.

The New Order is the sequel to 2009’s Wolfenstein. The game begins in an alternate 1946, with B.J. Blaskowitz and his pilot, Fergus Reed, flying over the Baltic Sea to the castle of General Skull, the game’s main antagonist. The heroes’ plane is shot down and they have to jump to another plane, where they meet Private Wyatt. The plane falls into the water near the fortress. A small band of survivors makes their way to the castle. The heroes make it to the crematorium and are captured by the Skull. Skull intends to subject Wyatt or Fergus to monstrous experiments and puts a difficult choice before Blaskowitz. Depending on the player’s choice, Skull kills either Wyatt or Fergus. Skull takes the murdered man’s brain and leaves the room, Blaskowitz and the comrade the player left alive kill the guard, crack the bars on the window, and jump out to sea.
